politics

Many people deny themselves their right to vote these days because they feel they have no choice. Maybe life is comfortable enough and government a bit too complicated for most people to feel the urge to have a say about it. Still 2.000000 did feel strongly enough to protest against war in Iraq. I would guess many more millions are pretty upset about it but couldn't stop everything and protest on the day.
If you are one of those millions, I would love to hear from you and maybe together we can find a way to bring politics back to the thinking public.
I am sure we can change the UK way of government by joining our local political parties and speaking out clearly and knowledgeably about the matters that concern us. We can encourage ethical wise people to stand for local and national elections. We can discuss what ethics we want to govern our political actions at home and abroad. Personally I would like to have our top philosophers offer their best ideas for debate on national TV with the end result of a commitment ratified by law that would ensure the actions of future governments are of the highest ethics.

Sorry as I am that young men are losing their lives in these unethical wars, I wonder what the news media are thinking when they describe these casualties of war as 'victims'.
Surely war victims are the innocent people, injured and killed when caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. But then you would be forgiven for thinking that there weren't any in this war.

This is my first blog. I feel I can no longer sit back and do nothing while innocent people are being slaughtered in my name by this Labour Government.
If you have any doubts that the American and British Govts could be carrying out the biggest crimes of the last 100 years right under our noses, please check out the rerun of Getting the Edge programme that went out tonight 10th december 09 on controversial TV. Cynthia mckinney used to be a congresswoman. She is extremely intelligent, forthright and utterly honest. Her story about the events during her political career in USA is shocking. Her integrity shines through as she calmly and lucidly explains how we can see for ourselves many of the crimes carried out by the CIA and others in our recent history.
If you have been taken in by the labeling of people who flag up our loss of freedom as 'conspiracy theorists' maybe this lady will make you think again.
